Would you want EITHER of these morons in the White House?  Just look at McCain, he’s got one foot in the grave, and could Tom Ridge look any more depressing with that ever present frown?  Sure he supports abortion rights – just like Mitt Romney did while campaigning for the Governorship in Massachusetts.  He also supported gay rights and then flip flopped on both issues.  Neither of these guys should be trusted.  We need a change of the guards (read: Democrat) if this country is going to turn itself around.

So McCain is focusing on “abortion rights” as being a major issue to his campaign.  Really?!  What about the economy, the housing crisis, the looming credit crisis, rising unemployment, growing fiscal divide between the haves and the have nots, and our battered foreign image?  Get a clue, McCain.  Actually, don’t, we don’t want you in the White House anyway.

While I cannot be certain, I believe that the latest update to iTunes (version 7.7.1) is at the heart of why I continue to see “Unknown Error -3256″ when I try to download content from the iTunes store; this seems to happen regardless of the type of content (e.g. songs, movies, videos or podcasts).

Rebooting my Mac mini seems to temporarily resolve the problem, but this is an unnecessary and time-wasting process as a “workaround” for something that Apple programmers should have been able to resolve already.  What seems evident is that each time a piece of Apple software is updated some issue invariably arises.  Need we be reminded of the simultaneous release of MobileMe and the role out of iPhone 3G and the chaos that ensued?

It would seem that people are chatting up a storm about how “Unknown Error -3256″ continues to affect them, but there has yet to be an official response from Apple, beyond some minor technical suggestions that don’t tend to work.  Doesn’t Apple beta-test?

One suggestion (to use Airfoil) seems to help when streaming content to my remote speakers, but this hasn’t helped to avoid the pitfalls of this unknown error in its entirety.  Best of Luck.
