@bluebeetleone - AudiCare is a package sold by Audi dealers which includes extended coverage on the car after the original manufacturer's warranty expires - mostly the warranty for service. Audi's are generally covered for 4 years/50K miles (they may have stopped this after 2006), and the AudiCare package extends that to 100K and another year or two - I'm uncertain of the # of years at the moment. For $690 the package covers a rather expensive service event around 75K from what I understand. Thanks for the comment. (Virgo64)

@hughmanwho - I believe I pulled most of this article from somewhere online. I've reread it and don't recall typing any of this. Sorry if any part of it doesn't make sense. I'll check it over again in a while and probably take it down. Thanks for the comment. (Virgo64)

Wait, you are agreeing that it is cooler now than it was in the 1930's but yet you also believe that the world is getting hotter? The 2nd paragraph doesn't make sense. It would be interesting to see a graph of the real temperature over time though. This website has a graph of temperature over time(half way down the page): http://mysite.verizon.net/mhieb/WVFossils/ice_ages.html Have you seen something different?
Where is the evidence based scientific reporting you are talking about in the last paragraph? Certainly it's warmer now than it was during the ice age so there has been global warming but that doesn't make it man-made.
However I do believe that it can't hurt to be "environmentally friendly". On a tangent: Just remember that hybrids aren't currently environmentally friendly... it takes more energy to charge the battery than it saves the user in gas. They might be though if we started using nuclear power to charge those batteries.

WOW! It seems only yesterday when I wrote this original blog entry about "being ready to pay $3.00 a gallon" for gasoline. Yet, despite the 1-year plus since my original entry, the forecast has become reality. U.S. gasoline prices have finally surged well past the $3.00 and now harbor (in Massachusetts) between $2.999 and $3.759 depending on where you look.
