@)*(&#$!!!  The forecast is for more snow tonight into the early morning hours.  Oh, how I wish I’d taken tomorrow off from work; instead, I’ll be scrapping my windows of the snow/ice and trudging my way to the train station and heading off to Boston for work.  With the best of luck, we’ll have an early release (for the holiday or because the snow); my only hope is that I don’t get stuck spending needless hours idle waiting for the next train home.  Here’s to better planning next year.

They definitely don’t mix, or at least, they don’t mix well.  It’s the eve of December 30th some 24 hours before the onset of New Year’s Eve and I’ve just finished shoveling a pint of Haagen-Das Triple Chocolate Ice Cream down my gullet.  Initially I thought this glorious confection would be nothing more than a triply-good chocolate ice cream; to my surprise, I found it to be a velvety-smooth chocolate ice cream as only Haagen-Das could create, swirled with decadent chocolate fudge and peppered with pieces of sumptuous chocolate truffle.

Is it any wonder why this stuff tastes so good?  Each serving is loaded with 330 calories, 190 of which are from fat.  That’s 57% fat calories, folks – something that the people over at Weight Watchers would be knocking their heads against the walls at.  Yes, I ate the whole thing.  What I promised myself as I approached the second holiday in as many weeks was that I’d do my best to stay on program, but that I definitely would almost certainly “coast” a little bit through the holidays.  Well, I’ve started coasting, and now its on to hoping that I don’t permanently leave the transmission in neutral as coasting indefinitely would not be a good thing.

At any rate – Happy Holidays – Here’s to a safe, happy and tasty New Year!

Fondly, Bad Kitty!
